I did it a little different as you can see. I took a piece of glass, put some peanut butter on it. Took pics of Lola licking the glass. Then extracted her from the background and added some drool.

Help, Lola is stuck in my computer.

Saturday was my dragon boat team's first race on the year. We missed first place by .27 of a second... this is for my girls. We don't really have an "&" in our name, but it has a nice shape. This is very hard to read, I need to work on bumping up the contrast.

Something is going on. I keep uploading it, and it keeps turning out like this. These are not the colors I used. It should be dark blue with light yellow circles and orange stars.

This idea is to make the building into a work space. Maybe the coffee stain is going to far. There will be hand drawn window frames around some of the windows, as if the building was in the process of being created.

Can you tell what this is? Dew drops. The building will be pretty plain but with a wrap of vector dew drops.

missed class on Thursday due to illness... thought printing was covered... have been frantically trying to figure out what to do on my own... so happy to read that it will be covered on Tuesday.

Coming up with the idea was a little tricky. I was trying to add too much and Charley Harper's designs were very simple. I also decided not to do live trace because he used very clean images that did not look hand drawn.

I made the trees a little smaller and the haron a little bigger.

I changed the type face (because the one I used before isn't on my computer) gave the heading more weight, aligned the text, and added trees all the way down the side.

This was fun, but I wish designing came more naturally to me.

I love the colors in this one and the patterns made by the ripples in the water. It looks like old school linoleum.

It is awesome that we can use patterns from the past to represent their original content or to make something completely new. Reusing patterns for the past also gives us the opportunity to see what was successful instead of trying brand new things. Perhaps over the course of time we will narrow down our pattern selections to only a handful of "good" ones.

The red flowers look great against the blue sky.

The like how they used different patterns to make the different parts of the peacock, like the neck and feathers.

Hey guys!

I have a good amount of computer experience. I was a multimedia student at PCC until last term when I started taking classes here.

I love love love dragon boat. I have been doing it for 5 years. This summer my team is going to Korea to compete in the ICF Club Crew world championship.

My favorite book is Ishmael and as for magazines I guess I would say Adbusters.
